After a lot of hard work, we are pleased to present a preview of our new product: Ecocomfort 2 Smart. After the launch of C800WiFi, the company’s first AI based programmable thermostat, we are now also introducing smart features in the CMV . The new Ecocomfort 2.0 applies artificial intelligence (AI) also to controlled mechanical ventilation and extends the concept of smart home to air control.
An Award-winning product
The product has a minimalist design, with a round white cover and a single multifunction button with multicolored LEDs. Compared to the previous model, it has a removable cover fixed with magnets to make installation and maintenance operations very simple and fast. The fact that Ecocomfort 2 Smart has already received the prestigious international Red Dot Design Award 2021 demonstrates that it is a truly interesting product from a design point of view.
The first product “completely smart”
This is the first Fantini Cosmi product that is configured and managed exclusively through the company’s Intelliclima + App (available for both Android, iOS and Huawei operating systems). The new unit supports WiFi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and LoRa technologies that make configuration and management easier. Ecocomfort 2 Smart can also be controlled by voice via the Amazon Alexa speakers* and its firmware can be remotely upgraded via the App.
Ventilation + Heat recovery, more efficient than ever
The unit works with the principle of regenerative heat recovery, through a ceramic heat exchanger placed inside the device that accumulates the heat released by the air flow entering or leaving the room and returns it when the flow reverses its direction. The fan unit is controlled by a DC Brushless motor with cycle inversion operation that allows the continuous exchange of air between inside and outside.
Smart functions and features
Here is a preview of the smart features that we are going to describe later in more depth. Dynamic shared and adaptive geolocation, modulating the CMV speeds based on people’s real presence – real speed in approaching home, avoidong unnecessary waste. In the Auto Sensor mode, the device self-adjusts the timing and speed of the air extraction / intake cycles according to some values detected by internal sensors to improve the quality of the air inside the rooms. Ecocomfort 2 Smart also allows you to view the level of environmental comfort (calculated on the real sensation of heat perceived by users and on humidity and temperature parameters). In addition, it offers the user a report on the system’s consumption trends and the parameters read by the sensors (ambient temperature, ambient humidity and air quality) recorded on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
